PERSONALITY
● Freya is a mischievous creature with a playful persona. She enjoys causing trouble for others, especially travelers in the woods. Of course, her little games are completely harmless, and no one ever gets hurt. She is just easily bored and needs to create small amusements for herself.
● Despite her age being close to one-hundred, she is still incredibly young for an elf, and often acts like a child. If there is something she wants, she takes it, not stopping to think of the consequences. She is also excitable, often talking too fast, giggling at the wrong times, and overreacting to small things.
● Freya likes nothing more than being the center of attention. She detests being ignored, and if someone refuses to listen to her stories and play her games, she can become quite snippy. She seeks attention, not to feed her ego, but to fill the silence of her mind with good-natured banter.
● Being an elf, naturally, Freya is very peaceful. She is sensitive to violence, and bloodshed makes her cringe. She will do anything to avoid confrontation and settle things in a civilized manner, even if it means pretending she is wrong when she is right. She'd rather make her company smile than exchange hurtful words.
● She does not understand personal boundaries. She likes touching everyone and everything, unable to keep her hands to herself, and often annoys people with her constant poking and prodding.
● Freya likes men. To her, they are one of the most interesting things in the world. She does not understand everything they do, but she finds them fascinating, peculiar, and especially fun to annoy.
● She always has a smile on her face. Optimistic in nature, bothered by negativity, she chooses to look on the bright side, no matter how bad the situation may seem. She also has the ability to see the best in people and look past their flaws, able to pick out a good trait in even the most villainous heart. There is little that can get her down, and she faces life with an innocent, bright-eyed wonder.
● Despite her upbeat, bubbly approach to life, she is lonely. She rarely lets her little smile slip, but she desperately longs for the companionship of another. This is why she is so hopelessly drawn to travelers. She enjoys their company, even if she is only blessed with it for a short amount of time.
THE STORY SO FAR
Freya was born in the forest, and it is all she has ever known. She was orphaned when she was young, parents killed by woodland bandits. The other elves kept an eye on her, but despite their efforts, her childhood was very lonely.
Since most of her life had been spent in her own company, Freya did not understand what she was missing. It was only when she met a traveling human that she realized she had a void that desperately needed filling. Freya came across the man on his travels, and she quickly became attached to him. He was a lone wanderer, lost in the forest, in need of a guide. He had been attacked by a pack of wolves, and Freya was the one to heal his wounds and nurse him back to health. The two spent nearly a month in the forest together, and for some reason, the little elf was certain her human would stay in the woods lost forever.
When he was well again, she accompanied him on his journeys, happily leading him through the woodland and showing him the secrets of the flora and fauna. When he reached his destination, however, he reluctantly left her.
This devastated Freya, and, longing for companionship, she strayed from the forest in search of the man. Sadly, our story does not have a happy ending, as she was never able to find him. She's had to settle for the company of the plants and animals, spending her days chattering with the squirrels and singing with the birds.
